Mystery Box Challenge

Here's my entry for the Mystery Box challenge ! There have been dozens of wonderful submissions, that made all the process very stimulating and inspiring!
Here's the story I imagined that linked all my characters together:
I imagined a world where a modern, globalized society comes into contact with ancient and mysterious artifacts, the "boxes of mystery".
They are very rare to find and they all contain a thing that belongs only to the first person to open them: inspiration.
There is no way of predicting what they will inspire a person to do or achieve, but most of the time it's something out of the ordinary, they inspired people who became great artists, musicians, scientists, philosophers, doctors, generals, athletes.
For this reason, even if their content is unpredictable and their secret undeciphered, these "boxes" have an inestimable value.

---The Brave is an explorer, equally greedy of adventure as of these rare prizes. He makes expeditions into the wildlands to search for the mystery boxes, but to finance every expedition he's forced to sell the box he retrieves. For now, anyway, that's enough for him, what's better than the thrill of an expedition into the wild unknown?
---The Serious has dedicated many years of her life studying these constructs, trying to artificially reproduce them, to better control the benefits they can give to humanity (and mass produce artificial ones to make their potential available to many people). It is said she never used one because she doesn't need inspiration to do her work, just extreme lucidity.
---The Leader claims to have opened a Box long ago. It was so powerful that he's been inspired to inspire everyone else. Nobody who follows him would never need a mystery box because he will guide every man or woman who listens to his teachings to higher levels of awareness and fullfillment. The cult of his personality and charisma are just tools that he says he will use to inspire all the people to improve as individuals and as a community.

--- Mystery boxes are so rare that not all the ways to obtain them are legal... but if you have a lot of money the Mischievous will supply you with invaluable sealed boxes. Just one rule: the buyer shouldn't ask questions on the product's history. The Mischievous also runs a legitimate club businnes, just in case clients need a place to drink.

---The Joyful is serching for a supreme inspiration to become a great musician, but she' s not remotely rich enough to buy a mystery box. She decided to travel the world searching for one, living of her own music while confidently waiting for a stroke of luck.

---The Wild is an orphan raised by a fierce creature into the deep wildlands and she doesn't know anything about the human world. She and her spiky mother accidentally dwell into a long forgotten ancient site, covered by a vast jungle. Here lies an abundance of mystery boxes but the duo doesn't give much importance to something that can't be eaten or doesn't try to eat you.
